Dreams: Gateway to your Inner Self

October 11, 2011 (Tuesday)
10:00 a.m – 3:00 p.m.
Fee: $30
Facilitator: Christine McDonald, SC
This is an introductory session to begin to look within ourselves to find what our dreams wish to reveal. Sometimes they seem just too mysterious or jumbled to ponder. However, within those dreams are treasures waiting to be discovered. They will enrich our lives immensely should we incorporate their wisdom into our being. This is an invitation to learn a way to prayerfully reflect on our dream wisdom.

10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

To see with sacred eyes is to go beyond the surface of things. It is to engage my whole being, my feelings and intuition until I come to behold God’s presence in every person and in every being. Through time spent outdoors, the use of pictures, prayer, reflection and sharing, we will come to a deeper consciousness of God’s presence, as we celebrate the gift of sight.

Where is God in this Mess

Where is God in this Mess

A Weekend Retreat
October 14-16, 2011
Begins at 7:00 p.m. Friday and ends with lunch Sunday noon.
Fee: $120 with room and board
$ 60 commuter (includes lunch Saturday and Sunday)
Facilitator: Lorraine d’Entremont, SC

We all live and relate in many social structures or systems, e.g. family, business, parish, town, workplace, government, committees and organizations, to name a few. The list could go on. Sometimes these social systems do not function as well as we would wish, or can get just plain messy. In this weekend retreat, you will be guided to examine how you feel, think and act in a system in which you are involved, and to see how God may be moving you to act for the betterment of the structure and those affected by it, including yourself! The retreat will consist of some presentation and group time, but will have substantial time for personal reflection.

Mandalas

Mandalas

October 18, 2011 (Tuesday)
10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Fee: $30
Facilitator: Vivian Mancini, SC

A mandala is a sacred circle with a centre point, a universal image that from ancient times has been used as a source of the experience of oneness and wisdom. A mandala enables us to enter our inmost depths to bring to the light of consciousness aspects of our being of which we have never been aware or have forgotten. Out of prayer and reflection, a thought, action, dream or experience will stand out for you. From these, choose what you feel drawn to express in the drawing of a mandala. We will share what our creation means to us and so enable our companions to appreciate our work and to perceive where God is journeying with us as we live our life.

Emotions: Gifts of God

Emotions: Gifts of God

October 20, 2011 (Thursday)
10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.
Fee: $30
Facilitator: Maria Sutherland, SC

Do you ever think of your emotions as gifts of God? Do you ever listen to the wisdom they offer you? Most of us don’t, yet emotions are driving powers and accurate indicators of our values. They bring sharper awareness and better decision-making. They affect our attitudes, our perceptions, our behaviour. Isn’t that enough to convince you that they are gifts of God – and to make you want to learn more about how they can be used positively for growing, as Jesus did, “in grace and wisdom”? That’s what we’ll do today.
